As of today, North Bound entrance to Cotabato City is not passable anymore due to the flood occurs in Sultan Kudarat Municipality particularly at Salimbao. It's sad for us Cotabateños to experience this again. Last year around July, it was experienced in the city but it was not that worse and the cause was giant water lilies struck at Delta Bridge (proposed alternate bridge of Quirino Bridge when it will be under repair).
While monitoring at radio station, the anchorman mentioned that Jose Lim Sr. St is really impassable be it light or heavy vehicle. Since Jose Lim is impassable, that could only mean that the city can hardly get goods coming from North Cotabato, Maguindanao and even from Davao City. Although there's still South Bound highway which we can alternatively use.
It was also mentioned that the Pigcawayan, Alamada and some other municipalities in North Cotabato Province.
According to old folks, during the 60's, Cotabato have experienced a citywide flood and banca or boat was their mode transportation. May we not have that again.
Last year, the city seeks help for the victim of the flood and maybe this year we will start soliciting help once again. Hopes this event won't happen annually.
As of this posting: water in Supermarket area is up to knee while in downtown area, water got through the establishments.
