Vincent by Don Mclean Lyrics and Video

Vincent by Don Mclean, one of the greatest hits in 70's. Don Mclean, the singer who popularized the songs American Pie and And I love you so are just few of hits during the era of folk songs. The era when artist like Jim Croce and John Denver was at their peak at mainstream radios.

As I observed, this was also the era when artists compose songs adeptly both music and lyrical content. As compare to music era wherein artists enjoys remaking or covering hits from the past. For me Vincent lyrcis is indeed simple but deep.

In my own opinion, remaking songs was also done way back in 60's to 80's. I guess I have to research more about this though. But as I remember, Carpenters also did the same with their hit song We've only just begun which was originally recorded by Smokey Roberds.

From videos below both live performances, I included Josh Groban's cover because it's also great cover of the song.

Vincent Lyrics/lyrcis/lyics

Starry
starry night
paint your palette blue and grey

look out on a summer's day
with eyes that know the
darkness in my soul.
Shadows on the hills
sketch the trees and the daffodils

catch the breeze and the winter chills

in colors on the snowy linen land.
And now I understand what you tried to say to me

how you suffered for your sanity
how you tried to set them free.
They would not listen
they did not know how

perhaps they'll listen now.

Starry
starry night
flaming flo'rs that brightly blaze

swirling clouds in violet haze reflect in
Vincent's eyes of China blue.
Colors changing hue
morning fields of amber grain

weathered faces lined in pain
are soothed beneath the artist's
loving hand.
And now I understand what you tried to say to me

how you suffered for your sanity
how you tried to set them free.
perhaps they'll listen now.

For they could not love you
but still your love was true

and when no hope was left in sight on that starry
starry night.
You took your life
as lovers often do;
But I could have told you
Vincent
this world was never
meant for one
as beautiful as you.

Starry
starry night
portraits hung in empty halls

frameless heads on nameless walls
with eyes
that watch the world and can't forget.
Like the stranger that you've met

the ragged men in ragged clothes

the silver thorn of bloddy rose
lie crushed and broken
on the virgin snow.
And now I think I know what you tried to say to me

how you suffered for your sanity

how you tried to set them free.
They would not listen
they're not
list'ning still
perhaps they never will.

Baw waw waw lyrcis/lyics - Francis M

I just heard this song playing a while ago by my officemate and decided to post it here. The song is entitled Baw waw waw by the late Master Rapper Francis Magalona. It's been a year since his lost.

The song is all about Filipino who eat dogs as for their Pulutan / appetizer during alcohol drinking session. Sorry for Pro-Animals reading this.

The video was Francis M's live performance at MYX. Hope you enjoy it.

Baw waw way lyrcis/lyics

Iba't iba ang trip ng bawat tao
One-day-old, at kalderetang aso
Tao'y sibilisado raw
Nunit mga halimaw
Sa inuman ang pulutan
Ay baw-waw-waw

Mga asong nakatali
Isa-isang nawawala sa kalye,
Tiningnan ko sa may bakuran namin
Nawawala ang aso kong itim,
Ang pangalan niya'y Bantay
At kahit siya'y galisin,
Siya'y kaibigan at mabuting alipin

May nagyaya sa amin ng inuman
At ako'y hiningan ng pambili ng pulutan
Agad ko namang ibinigay
Sabay tumoma habang naghihintay "Kampay!"
Luto na raw ang aming hinihintay
Isang malaking aso na itim ang kulay
Ako'y napalunok at natuyuan ng laway,... (Yukkk! )

Sila ang kumatay kay Bantay!

Iba't iba ang trip ng bawat tao
One-day-old, at kalderetang aso
Tao'y sibilisado raw
Nunit mga halimaw
Sa inuman ang pulutan
Ay...

Asusena... asusena... asusena
Baw-waw-waw
Asusena... asusena... asusena
Baw-waw-waw
Asusena... asusena... asusena

Mga asong nakatali
Isa-isang nawawala sa kalye,
Tiningnan ko sa may bakuran namin
Nawawala ang aso kong itim
Ang pangalan niya'y Bantay
At kahit siya'y galisin
Siya'y kaibigan at mabuting alipin

May nagyaya sa amin ng inuman
At ako'y hiningan ng pambili ng pulutan
Agad ko namang ibinigay
Sabay tumoma habang naghihintay "Kampay!"
Luto na raw ang aming hinihintay
Isang malaking aso na itim ang kulay
Ako'y napalunok at natuyuan ng laway,... (Yukkk! )

Sila ang kumatay kay Bantay!

Iba't iba ang trip ng bawat tao
One-day-old, at kalderetang aso
Tao'y sibilisado raw
Nunit mga halimaw
Sa inuman ang pulutan
Ay baw-waw-waw

His songs are legacy to us.

My Lyrcis, lyics compilation project

Since most of my blog posts are into an Entertainment site particularly Music, I have decided to post Lyrcis,  Lyics compilation :) Yes! It's really Lyrcis and lyics. Frankly I want to attract traffic out of this misspelled keyword but be able to offer some of my compiled song Lyrcis, lyics.

Lyrcis, lyics are just two of the most misspelled keywords looking for lyrics I have decided to optimized. As I mentioned earlier about my blog are likely into a music blog, I have also posts labeled with this keywords to help people with find some of the songs they're looking for. Annually, lyrics keyword is in top 100 keywords being search globally and having this project lyrcis , lyics compilation will somehow give a market share in traffic.

Some of the bands' songs lyrcis and lyics I'm going to compile are Ugyly Kid Joe, Dishwalla, Aerosmith, Nerf Herder, Honor Society and more bands in Alternative, punk, reggae and other sub-genre of rock. I have also posted some solo artists like Katy Perry, Alanis Morissette, Shawn Colvin, and oh Justin Bieber too ;). Also, I won't be limiting my blog posts to the generation I grow up with but also to classic bands like The Beatles, Beach Boys (soon), and of course not too soon are artists like Elvis Presley, Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra (born Dec. 12 like me). With more blogging days to come I think I'll be able to achieved my lyrcis, lyics compilation.

Cats in the Cradle lyrcis | Video by Ugly Kid Joe

Here's additional song with lyrcis and video to my collection. Song is about a dad who's so busy with his career to provide living for his family. The story is very common in tv shows and movies and most of it in real life. As a dad, also working 8hrs a day, I still make sure that I spend most of my non-working day with my son. Indeed the lyrcis is a sort of advice to me that if I don't give quality time with my son I'll be growing old having my son's not close with mine.

The Cat's In the Cradle song was originally performed by Harry Chapin, a folk rock artists. The lyrcis was of course done by Harry Chapin. Reading its entry from Wikipedia, I do admit that I'm one of those who were confused with the original version. [Wikipedia] "Cat's in the Cradle" is widely mistakenly credited to artist Cat Stevens ". All the time I really thought that Cat Stevens was the original artist of the song. But I also thought that it was covered by Cat Stevens or he was the second generation.

But I was never confused that Cat's In the Cradle lyrcis was covered by Gun's n Roses. [Wikipedia ] The cover of the song by Ugly Kid Joe is furthermore often confused for a cover by Guns N' Roses. Never I am got confused.

Soon I will be covering more lyrcis and videos of Ugly Kid Joe, Gun's N Roses songs or even Cat Stevens.

Cats in the Cradle Lyrcis

My child arrived just the other day
He came to the world in the usual way
But there were planes to catch and bills to pay
He learned to walk while I was away
And he was talkin' 'fore I knew it, and as he grew
He'd say "I'm gonna be like you dad
You know I'm gonna be like you"

And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon
Little boy blue and the man on the moon
When you comin' home dad?
I don't know when, but we'll get together then son
You know we'll have a good time then

My son turned ten just the other day
He said, "Thanks for the ball, Dad, come on let's play
Can you teach me to throw", I said "Not today
I got a lot to do", he said, "That's ok"
And he walked away but his smile never dimmed
And said, "I'm gonna be like him, yeah
You know I'm gonna be like him"

And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon
Little boy blue and the man on the moon
When you comin' home son?
I don't know when, but we'll get together then son
You know we'll have a good time then

Well, he came home from college just the other day
So much like a man I just had to say
"Son, I'm proud of you, can you sit for a while?"
He shook his head and said with a smile
"What I'd really like, Dad, is to borrow the car keys
See you later, can I have them please?"

And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon
Little boy blue and the man on the moon
When you comin' home son?
I don't know when, but we'll get together then son
You know we'll have a good time then

I've long since retired, my son's moved away
I called him up just the other day
I said, "I'd like to see you if you don't mind"
He said, "I'd love to, Dad, if I can find the time
You see my new job's a hassle and kids have the flu
But it's sure nice talking to you, Dad
It's been sure nice talking to you"

And as I hung up the phone it occurred to me
He'd grown up just like me
My boy was just like me

And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon
Little boy blue and the man on the moon
When you comin' home son?
I don't know when, but we'll get together then son
You know we'll have a good time then

Let me in
to see you in the morning light
to get me on and all along the tears they come
see all come
I want you to believe in life
but I get the strangest feeling that you've gone away
will you find out who you are too late to change?
I wish I could be
every little thing you wanted
all the time
I wish I could be
every little thing you wanted
all the time
some times

lift me up
just lift me up don't make a sound
and let me hold you up before you hit the Ground
see all come
you say your all right
but I get the strangest feeling
that you've gone away- you've gone away
and will you find out who you are too late to change?

I wish I could be
every little thing you wanted
all the time
I wish I could be
every little thing you wanted
all the time
some times

Don't give me up
don't give me up tonight
or soon nothing will be right at all
salvation
will you find out who you are too late to change?

I wish I could be
every little thing you wanted
